🠈 About Cedar City Utah 🠊
Cedar City dot US is part of the Community Color Project. I started this project back in 2000 (the wild west days of the Internet).
People and small businesses around the world were creating web pages but their efforts appeared doomed to failure if no-one linked to their site.
I began making directories and calendars for select towns in the Mountain West hoping to keep the dreams of a robust internet alive.
I bought the geodomain CedarCityUtah.US and simply added links to any site I could find from the area.
Sadly, my fears proved true and most of the independent web sites of the early Internet rush failed.
In 2017, I decided to upgrade the site. Rather than just focusing on towns, I decided to focus on counties. Utah has 29 counties. Cedar City is in Iron County. The county seat of Iron County is Parowan; So, I decided to create two overlapping directories. This directory will focus on Cedar City and iron.UtahColor.com will focus on the rest of the county.

I initially funded the site with affiliate ads. The affiliate ads I have really don't enhance the site; So, with the rebuilt, I decided to let locals order local ads. The starting price (2/2017) is $25 for 100,000 page views. That is is 25¢ CPM. The ad is a 728x90 banner in the upper fold of the page, only one per page.
